You feel happy for many reasons but the happiness that you get when you become a mother beats all of them. Being a Mother is such a great feeling that cannot be expressed in words.
Once you are a mother, there comes lot of responsibilities. Mothers always want to give the best nutritious food to their babies. First six months, after the delivery, the baby is fed only mother’s milk which is very very important and no other food. After six months babies are introduced to solids but slowly one by one. As babies grow older you can combine two types of food and cook it nicely and give it to babies.
I am going to list out few options which you can give to your Babies ( from 6 months babies to 3 yr old toddlers)
- Mashed Apple (6 months to 1 yr babies) : Peel Apple and chop it into small pieces and steam it in a steamer or boil it in water and grind it.
- Aamras
- Idli : Crumble the Idli and put it in warm milk. Add little Jaggery to it.
- Cucumber Idli (Tausoli)
- Jackfruit Idli (Panasa Dhodak)
- Sweet Idli (Goda Appe)
- Sweet Watermelon Dosa (Goda Kalingana Polo)
- Urad Dal and Rice Dosa (Udada Dali ani Tandula Pole)
- Urad Dal Dosa (Udada Dali Pole)
- Sweet Dosa (Goda Polo)
- Chapati / Phulka: Make small Pieces of Chapati and soak in a cup of hot Milk so that they become soft and once it becomes soft feed the toddler.
- Khichdi
- Moong Bean Sweet Khichdi (Moonga Khichadi)
- Ground Rice Kheer (Guloni/Tandula Vantuna Payas)
- Moong Daal Kheer (Mooga Dali Payas)
- Sweet Coconut Milk (Rasa)
