Ingredients:
- 1 cup Rava
- 1 Onion
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 2 cups Water
- Salt according to your taste
Seasoning:
- 1 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tsp Mustard
- 1 tsp Urad Dal
- 2 Green Chilies
- 6-7 Curry Leaves
- Coriander Leaves
Method:
- Take 1 tbsp Ghee in a Kadai.
- Add Rava and saute it for 10 minutes till you get a nice aroma from the Rava. Keep this aside.
- Boil two cups of Water and add Salt.
- Add 1 tbsp Ghee in the Kadai. Add Green Chilies, Urad Dal, and Mustard. Allow the Mustard to splutter, and then add Curry Leaves.
- Add the chopped Onion. Saute it till it becomes translucent.
- Add Rava.
- Add boiled water and keep stirring till it becomes thick.
- Add Coriander Leaves and Sugar on the top.
- Close it with a lid and keep it on low flame for 5 minutes.
- Tasty Upma (Uppitu) is ready! Serve it with Mixture or Sev.
Tip: You can add grated Carrot before Step 6 and saute it for 2 min and then follow rest of the steps to get colorful Carrot Upma.
