Season the Recipe (StR) blog is created with an interest to Learn and Share Anything and Everything about Cooking.

Us

We are a team of two sisters- Swetha and Saritha. We are Engineering Graduates from MIT, Manipal and have worked as Technical Writers. Currently we are full time mommy’s and hence the time we get after the daily chores is utilized to create and build StR blog. We are the writers, editors, photographers, cooks- the Bloggers of Season the Recipe.

Blog History

This blog was initiated by Swetha and asked her sister Saritha to join her (Yeah that’s me!). She basically started it with an interest to keep herself occupied with something as she had quit the job to be a full time mommy! Ofcourse creating a food blog was the best option. This way she would continue writing, as well as make and serve good food. Also while doing the basic daily chores she could keep clicking pictures and posting. She had this idea of creating the blog and was asking many of us to suggest the name for the blog. We had suggested a few, which she rejected and decided on her own as Season the Recipe!!! I was with her on checking blog and giving suggestions till an year and then joined to share her work and interest.

Dedication

We dedicate this blog to our Mom (Ayee) from whom we have learnt the basics of cooking, the do’s and dont’s which is absolutely needed when one starts cooking. For Ayee, preparing our favorite food as and when we asked for and for giving the recipes anytime and as many times we asked for! Also our Mother- in-laws to give us some of their recipes and for getting us goodies while they visit us. Also our Kids, Sisters, Hubby’s, Daddy’s who are generally the first target of our cooking experiments and for their praises and criticism. And Ofcourse all the food related websites and Google for making any information search so easy!

Whats Cooking?

Being Konkani, this blog will majorly have Konkani recipes, and ofcourse all other dishes that we make at home. The food is categorized as Veg and Non Veg and further sub categorized accordingly. Other than Recipes you will find some useful kitchen tips, tricks, foodie fun, articles, meal planners and so on.

Just so you know

We are not experts in cooking. We intend to learn and share recipes that we have tried and come out quite good. Being said all that, it takes a lot of effort to click pictures while cooking and then to sort and post the recipe. If any of these recipes or articles interests you, then do leave a comment or feedback. Also any requests, suggestions, recipe inputs are always welcome.
