Deep Fried Battered Fish

Deep fried battered fish- can be made with any kind of fish. Generally we cook/ deep fry various veggies like this. This time decided to try the same with fish. Yes, all fried item tastes yum and this tastes yummier with fish 😉

I have deep-fried cat-fish here, but you can try this with any other fish too including prawns.

Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless Fish cut into medium pieces
  • 1/2 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1/2 cup Besan
  • 1 tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep fry

Method:

  1. Marinate Fish with Red Chili Powder, Salt and little Water. Keep aside for 20 minutes.
  2. Make a thick batter with Besan, Salt, Red Chilli Powder and Water.
  3. Keep together the Bread Crumbs, Batter and Marinated Fish.
  4. Now heat Oil to deep fry.
  5. Once ready, take each Fish slice, dip in Batter, coat with Bread Crumbs and then deep fry in Oil.

Banana with coconut milk (Konkani: Kele Hashale)

I love Kele hashale so am sharing this recipe with all of you. This dish is easy to make and very tasty too. Ya we should not have lot of sweet but you can make it once a month for sure and enjoy the taste. This sweet dish has banana which is a good source of potassium, dietary fiber, manganese and Vitamins B6 and C.

Do make this simple dish, have it and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 Coconut
  • 4 Bananas
  • 1 cup Jaggery
  • 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • Pinch of Salt

Method

  1. Grate Coconut. Grind the grated Coconut with little Water.
  2. Squeeze the ground mixture to get Coconut Milk.

  3. Add Jaggery, Salt and Cardamom powder. Mix it well.
  4. Chop Banana into slices. Add them in the sweet coconut milk.
