Chicken Tandoori is a popular Bangladeshi, Indian and Pakistani dish consisting of roasted chicken prepared with yogurt and spices. The name comes from the type of cylindrical clay oven, a tandoor, in which the dish is traditionally prepared. But in modern days, we use the same process and make in microwave oven 😀
This is one of few recipes which needs ingredients that are mostly present at home. So if you have Chicken and want to make a dish with it, you should try chicken tandoori. Very quick and easy to make. You can even add some chat masala to the marination to enhance the taste.
Ingredients:
- 2 large Chicken Slices
- 2 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 2 tbsp Cumin Powder
- 2 tbsp Garam Masala Powder
- 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tbsp Pepper Powder
- 4 tbsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Food Color- Red
- 1 tbsp Turmeric
- 6 tbsp Thick Yogurt
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp Oil
Method:
- Mix all the ingredients except chicken and oil and make a smooth paste.
- Clean the Chicken, make some slits on chicken and marinate with the above paste. Add Oil and mix well so as to form a nice coating.
- Marinate for an hour.
- Preheat oven to 400F and place the marinated chicken on the baking pan (above some baby carrots) and bake for 30- 45 min (till done).
- Serve it hot with fried onions and lime!
